General Info How do I manage a webpage and is it user-friendly? Managing the webpage is very simple and user friendly. It's similar to making an email account, but a little more time consuming. It shouldn't take anymore than 20 minutes to sign up and enter all the required information. Once you get your username and password you can login anytime you like to update or change the profile. How much does this service cost?The basic listing service is no charge. Premium listings are available for $29.99 per month and include extra features such as online reservations and event calenders. I'm not good with computers, can I contact someone for assitance?Yes! You can call or email our customer service and ask any questions you like. We are here to help and make things as simple as possible. Can my webpage be my restaurant homepage?Of course it can! We encourage owners and managers to make profiles and use them as their homepage. They can save a bunch of cash, which can amount in the $1,000 range (not to mention the maintenance fees every month). You even get to make your own website name so it will be simple to tell your guest where to find you on the web. Just tell them www.dinersnation.com/your name here. What do I do if I don't get my Confirmation Email?If you do not get your confirmation email, it could be a few different reasons. One reason could be that your spam prevention for your email account has blocked automated messages. You will have to check your spam folder and see if the email was redirected there. Another reason is that our server IP address is not Whitelisted. In other words, we have not been verified through your email provider as a "safe sender." If this is the case, contact Dinersnation.com so we can register ourselves with your email provider. If all else fails, you can always contact Dinersnation.com and we will gladly send you the information you need to complete registration. How do I cancel my account?
For Basic Members: Please contact us with your login ID and the name of your business. We will cancel your account once the submission is received. What does "Guest per Interval" mean? Guests per interval means how many guests are allowed during that time frame. For example, lets say you allow 10 reservations at 6:00pm. If 2 of those reservations were made for 10 people each, you will need to regulate how many people per party are allowed in order to properly staff the situation. If you set the interval at 20 people max during that 6:00pm interval, the system will not allow anymore reservations during that time period. What does "Reservation per Interval" mean?Reservation per interval is how many reservations you allow per time interval. I'm not receiving confirmation emails for my reservations, what do i do?The reservation system will send a confirmation email to the guest and the restaurant once a reservation is made. The confirmation email will be sent immediately once the reservation is made, but may take up to 10 minutes to be received. If you do not receive the email, please check you bulk or junk mail folder to see if it was filtered. A good tip is to add the reservation email address to your contact list in your email account. This will guarantee delivery each time. Photos and VideosHow do I put a video on my profile? Since we do not allow video uploading on Dinersnation, you will have to find a website that does. We recommend Youtube.com or Tastyfood.tv. They are both free services. Once you upload your video to these websites, there will be a field on the same page of the video that says, "embed." You will copy the code and login to your Dinersnation account. Once logged into your account, you will past the code in the box that says "video embed." Your video should place neatly into your profile. If you have any problems, you can always contact Dinersnation for help. Why does some Photos show up on the searches and not on my profile?This happens because the picture you have uploaded may not be supported or is too large. JPEG and GIF are the most commonly used file extensions. If the picture does not work, simply try using another one. If the problem insists, you can contact us for help. Why aren't my photos viewing properly?
This can be because of two reasons. This could happen for a few different reasons. First of all, the picture may be too large. A simple correction is to just find another picture. If you are pretty good with computers, you can resize the image with a photo editing program. Why does my picture show black?This is because you are uploading a file format that is not supported by our system. Trying using a different file format instead. What do I do if the Video or Slideshow Doesn't fit?If the video doesn't fit, it is probably a coding issuing. verify that your code begins with the word "embed" and ends with "/a". If your code follows these simple guidelines, your video or slide show should fit nicely! Account InfoWhat if I keep getting logged out of my account for no reason? This means you have too much information stored in your private files (cookies and cache). On your browser, you will need to locate where your private files are stored and delete them. EventsCan I post more than one event per day? Yes you can, but only one of those events will be available when you click on the selected calender date.
